Dr. Zhao got his B.S. and M.S. from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1994 and 1997, and achieved his Ph.D. degree in aerospace engineering from Old Dominion University in 2003. Then he worked as a postdoctoral research associate in University of Colorado at Boulder and Florida State University from 2003 to 2009. Dr. Zhao possesses more than 10-year working and research experience in the areas of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, CFD, aeroacoustics and control engineering. He has successfully finished many U.S. government supported research projects independently or as an important team player, including the NASA Hyper-X program, AFOSR LANS-alpha turbulent modeling project, DAPAR helicopter quieting program, NASA and NAVY SBIR projects, etc.. Dr. Zhao has published more than 20 technical journal or conference papers. Currently he is a senior research scientist at Advanced Dynamics Corporation.
